Core Operations Associate

Job Description 

·        Manage and support a sophisticated trading system trading multiple asset classes on several exchanges, both domestic and foreign.

·        Oversee order flow to multiple exchanges worldwide; research, investigate and correct (including hedging) problems with specific orders or exchanges.            

·        Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues with trading system components (including systems, network and software) in real-time.

·        Deploy, analyze, and optimize performance of complex trading systems in real-time.

·        Serve as the front-line interface with venues and exchanges for daily operations.

Requirements:

·        Ability to communicate clearly and triage problems on a trading floor

·        Working knowledge of electronic trading, FIX protocol, Linux, Java, regex, bash.

·        Working knowledge of Linux – including process and job control, file handles and permission control, directory structure

·        Basic networking knowledge – know how data traverses a network, TCP, UDP, ability to troubleshoot network connectivity problems

·        Basic routing knowledge a plus
